Ever wondered what happens to things left behind on trains and at stations? After being handed in, items remain at the station for seven days before they are moved to our Lost Property Office at Central Station. Lost property is held there for four weeks before being stored and sorted for our regular lost property sales.
In the past we’ve auctioned a bobcat as well as large studio filming equipment. This time 3000 items are up for auction, from umbrellas to iPods, laptops to sunnies and there’s even a fully enclosed camping hammock.
When: preview on Monday 4 December, between 8.30am and 4.00pm; sale on Tuesday 5 December, from 9.30am
Where: rear, 476 Pitt St, Sydney (near Central Station, access via the second gate 100 metres from the corner of Eddy Ave and Pitt St)

If you’ve lost something on our stations or trains, you can report it online via our lost property section.
